Modalities (or Frameworks) I use In Sessions
Narrative Therapy
Our lives are shaped by the stories we carry — about who we are, what’s possible, and where we belong. In narrative therapy, we gently untangle these stories, asking:
-
Whose voice is this?
-
What version of you has been left out?
-
What wisdom or strength is waiting to be reclaimed?
We work together to re-author your narrative in a way that reflects your truth, your resilience, and your unique path.

What I love about narrative therapy is that it places the story outside of ourselves, and that distance is where new stories or versions of ourselves can emerge.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of bringing gentle, non-judgmental attention to the present moment. In therapy, it helps us create space between stimulus and response—so we can listen more deeply to ourselves and choose how we want to move forward. Depending on your needs and comfort, mindfulness in our sessions might include:
-
Guided Meditation
-
Mindful Awareness
Bringing attention to what’s arising in the here and now—your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, or the space between us in the session. -
Breathwork
Using the breath as a tool for regulation and self-awareness. -
Somatic Check-Ins
Tuning in to physical sensations or inner cues that offer insight into what you're experiencing emotionally. This helps deepen your connection to yourself and your body’s wisdom.
Nature-Based Therapy
Nature offers a steady presence — a grounding force that reminds us we are part of something larger. In these sessions, we may work outdoors or bring nature into our conversations through imagery, ritual, and seasonal wisdom.
Nature becomes both a witness and a guide, helping you:
-
Reconnect with your body and breath
-
Regulate your nervous system through natural rhythms
-
Find metaphors and meaning through the elements and the seasons
-
Remember your place in the larger web of life
